Was macht die Bank mit unserem Geld? Dieser Frage geht der österreichische Filmemacher Erwin Wagenhofer in seinem Film “Let’s Make Money” nach. Günstigenfalls wird es in Gold angelegt oder findet sich in einem wachstumsorientierten Fonds wieder, der in ausgelagerte Industrien in Indien investiert. Erwin Wagenhofen nimmt die Spur unseres Geldes auf und trifft jene, die es gewinnbringend arbeiten lassen.
“Kaum ist Guthaben auf den Konten, kontaktiert uns die Bank und redet uns irgendein Finanzdienstleistungsprodukt ein”, sagt Dokumentarfilmer Erwin Wagenhofer. “Die Bank macht das nur aus einem einzigen Grund: Weil sie daran verdient - bei uns und bei der Institution, bei der es weitergegeben wird.” Um den halben Erdball folgt der Film der Vermehrung des Geldes und seiner Folgen. Eine garantiert clevere Altersvorsorge versprachen auch jene lukrativen Immobilienfonds, die an der Costa del Sol in Spanien investierten. Obwohl Millionen Häuser leer stehen, wird dort seit 18 Jahren gebaut wie im Rausch.

16 trillion dollars …
16 trillion dollars embezzled if invested could provide infrastructure for humanity. On the scale of an investment toward every human born on the planet and that is a new found freedom for new times such as ours (global). A film on such solutions needs to be the sequel to this. We live in a “Utopia” more now than ever. This kind of economic infrastructure is not in harmony with the society of today or tomorrow. It is ancient, now absurdly toxic, and barbaric. This film only encourages yearning.

…gehört nicht zur …
…gehört nicht zur natur des Menschen, sondern zu seiner Umgebung. 2 Dinge erzeugen hauptsächlich Gier: Mangel, und Geld. Wobei Geld nur dann Gier erzeugt, wenn es mangel erzeugt. Geld erzeugt aber Mangel, es erzeugt in seiner Form die zentralisierung von allem Geld bei wenigen und keinem Geld bei fast allen, was sehr wohl Mangel erzeugt.
Unter diesen Gesichtspunkten kann man nicht mehr der Gier, wie man so schön sagt, die Schuld in die Schuhe schieben.
